Mr. Mayor, Madam City Administrator and City Council Members:

I want to forward to you this unusual story of Public Works Agency staff conducting a successful sting operation which yielded an arrest of a Toilet Tissue Thief. Even though we have several custodians that service this large office building, the Facilities Services Division staff was quickly able to determine that there was toilet tissue stealing going on, and using our existing monitoring systems, able to go back and identify the suspect and devise a successful sting operation.

A special thanks to our Assistant Complex Manager, Derin Minor, and his team of Custodial Supervisors who investigated and put together a plan, and to OPD's Internal Affairs Division for their support.

I urge all staff to be vigilant of their surroundings, as Chief Tucker has said it is common for burglaries to increase during our Holidays.
